TOURIST VISA

Eligibility for Visa

A tourist visa can be granted to a foreigner who does not have a residence or occupation in India and whose sole objective of visiting India is recreation, sightseeing, casual visit to meet friends and relatives and attending a short term yoga programme. No other activity is permissible on a tourist visa.
The visas are not issued from the future date to match applicant’s itinerary for inward and outwards journey to/from India and are effective from the date of issue.

Duration of Visa

Up to 1 year/single or multiple entry
More than 1 year and up to 5 year/multiple

Documents required

• Original Passport together with the copy of the relevant pages of the passport (valid for a minimum period of six months)
• Two recent Passport size photographs showing full frontal view of the face without dark/colored glasses
• Online Visa Application Form to be completed at https://indianvisaonline.gov.in and print & sign for submission at the Embassy
• Copy of the national Identity Card /copy of residence permit in case of a foreigner confirmation on accommodation/ air ticket

Note: All nationals visiting from the Republic of Congo to India need Yellow Fever Vaccination card.
